Oberlin College's Free Tuition Plan

Founded in 1833, Oberlin was the first institution of higher education in America to adopt a policy to admit students of color (1835) and the first college to award bachelor’s degrees to women (1841) in a coeducational program. http://new.oberlin.edu/

The School's history should shed light on why this program for the High school students that get a scholastic reward. Also get a reward of a free education that will save them roughly around $148 K or $ 45 K a year times 4-5 years of schooling. This needs to be a educational program offered by all community colleges within their perspective states, which would aid in boosting their attendance as well as appeal! Which in turn could offset the debt incurred after graduates complete their degrees.
